Hunger?
Food tips after Apres Ski in IschglIt's not that early anymore. Hunger won't leave you alone. Now you're actually in the mood for finger food, doner kebabs, burgers & co. But wait, you're in Ischgl! In the place that is known for the fact that nowhere else in the Alps are there more "toques" in such a small space. You may have already discovered the “Burger King” on Dorfstrasse, where most of the gourmet temples are located – but is that the end of a quick meal?
Because one thing is clear: It's already too late for five-course, hour-long culinary events. You don't want to tear a big hole in your wallet, at least this time.
You have to go to these places
And indeed: they exist. The places where you can get affordable, good and quick food. Although Ischgl is a little different here too, because you actually have to look a little longer for burgers, doner kebabs and the like. But there is also that. And much more! Ready? It starts.
Location 1: Let's start classic. In the "Rocks Grill" you get what you imagine as a quick meal at a late hour: Döner & Co.! It also tastes wonderful in Ischgl. It doesn't always have to be gourmet cuisine! And: the burgers taste great too.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 1pm to midnight, Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 1am
Location 2: The "Grillalm Ganahl". noun est omen. Here is (well) grilled, which shows that lasts. Especially burgers. Of course, steaks are also on the menu. But that would be another story and probably not what you imagine so late at night…
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday from 12:00 to 22:00
Location 3: The Café Bistro Al Aua. Here it is advertised that you might get the "Best Burger in Town". If that's true? You'll have to try it yourself soon.
Opening hours: Daily from 04:00 p.m. to 02:00 a.m
Location 4: I don't even dare to write. But: You can also pay a visit to Burger King on Dorfstraße. The burgers there are really not as bad as the reputation…
Opening times: In winter from 02:00 p.m. to 02:00 a.m
Location 5: The "Kitzloch" is not a fast food shop or even a burger joint, but a tavern. But: The spare ribs can be recommended with a clear conscience from the point of view of "finger food" in the broadest sense. A bit higher in price than kebabs & Co., they are worth every cent here.
Opening times: Daily from 03:00 p.m. to 01:00 a.m
Location 6: Also a rather unusual place for your cravings. But: You must have tried the steak sandwich there in the “Café-Restaurant Salner”!
Opening times: Daily from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m
Location 7: The hood stronghold "Yscla" also makes burgers. In the adjoining "American Bar Allegra" delicious burgers are served. Top!
Opening hours: Daily from 04:00 p.m. to 02:00 a.m
Location 8: The best pizza in Ischgl? At least they say so. Away with you! Namely to “La Candela”.
Opening times: Daily from 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m
Location 9: The good, tried and tested "Trofana Alm". Here you will soon have good pizzas, burgers and snacks in your hand. There is also decent beer and "Anton…" from the speakers.
Opening hours: Daily from 3 p.m. until uncertain 😉
Location 10: The "Gasthof Alt Paznaun". Here we leave the framework of finger food and fast food. But: Here you will find typical, not very light Tyrolean fare. After that you can continue partying!
Opening hours: Daily from 12:00 to 22:00
Location 11: "Fire and Ice". This is also NOT a fast food stand. It does not matter anyway. Because the food is good and reasonably priced. Plan on!
Opening hours: Daily from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m
Conclusion
So as you can see: You definitely don't have to starve in Ischgl, even away from the award-winning kitchen and the high cuisine. Ischgl may be a little different, but it tastes delicious here. There is also something for every wallet.
