Steepest Descent: Piste no. 8 - descent Mohrenkopflift - only for athletes! Longest Descent: Run from the mountain station of the Wetterkreuzbahn to the valley station of the Ochsengartenbahn - approx. 5km. Most beautiful panoramic piste: Piste no. 2 - Brunnenkopf exit. Best beginner slopes: Slope no. 2 - lower area at the Ötzilift descent; Piste no. 6 - exit Kühtaile; Piste no. 11 - Balbach lift descent.

At the beginning of the Ötztal is the Ski area Hochoetz. The ascent is via modern 8-seater gondola lifts. Entry is possible in Ötz - Umhausen with the Acherkogel Bahn and in Ochsengarten. In just 8 minutes you are in the most family-friendly ski area from the Ötztal.

The Funkpark Hochötz is the center of young freestylers and boarders. You will reach this snow park in the Balbach area with the 2-seater chairlift. Just watch the future artists. Many obstacles such as rails, boxes, kickers, barrels and a wave track are available.

Families appreciate the manageability in the Hochoetz ski area. Parents can decide to have their children looked after all day and learn their first turns in the WIDI children's area.

1.5 km winter hiking trail. The leisurely hike leads gently up and down through a rustic stone pine forest before a summit cross marks the vantage point after about 15 minutes on foot.
