Here are some common questions reagrding ski insurance

Can I book a ski or snowboard without the insurance?

No. The protection package against theft, damage and cancellation is compulsory for all offers and promotions.

I have my own insurance. Do I still have to take the protection package?

Yes. Many insurance policies do not cover you against theft, loss or damage. Repairs and additional costs which may be incurred with replacing the equipment are only covered by the MIETSKI protection package.

Are ski poles covered for damage or loss?

Yes. The ski poles are included in the insurance.

Are additional items insured against damage and loss?

Yes. All MIETSKI hire equiment is fully covered - ski boots, helmets, googles, protectors and snowboard bindings. Simply come to the shop and get a replacement.

When is the ski insurance not valid?

If you fail in your obligation to inform us: in the event of a theft, you must first inform MIETSKI and then obtain a police report from the responsible police station in your resort. Failure to do so will result in your insurance being null and void. Further, if our equipment is treated or used negligently, without duty of care or vandalised then the insurance package is null and void. In such cases you are fully liable for the damage and all associated costs must be paid for by yourself.
